Unfortunately there is not much you can do, stay focus on the keywords that have been lost rankings and work on it to improve your website. Maybe your SEO campaign was overstuffed with dozens or hundeds of spam links and that make you lost precious rankings! As usual google did not reveal on what was based the last update. Few info shows that they penalized sites with low quality links and overstuffed keywords in the page, so work on that direction to rank back your keywords up again and do not lose the hope!

That is the best feature to use, check carefully the history of previous work and feedback for each task done before assign the job to the freelance. Personally i prefer odesk as there are more individuals, in elance you find more companies then individual freelancers. That is the main difference.
